Un pepinillo es un tipo de pepino pequeño que normalmente se encurte y se come como un aperitivo crujiente y ácido o se usa como acompañamiento en bocadillos y hamburguesas.

'Gherkin' se usa más en inglés británico; en EE. UU. se prefiere 'pickle'. Normalmente se refiere al pepinillo pequeño encurtido, no al pepino fresco. Suele acompañar sándwiches o hamburguesas.
