Definition

鋳造所とは、金属を溶かして型に流し込み、さまざまな製品を作る場所です。

「foundry」は主に工業や製造の現場に使われます。「iron foundry」「steel foundry」など特定の金属に使う場合が多いです。「factory（工場）」や「refinery（精製所）」とは異なります。やや専門的な表現です。
