건물이나 구조물을 지탱하는 튼튼한 바닥. 또는 어떤 일이나 생각의 기본, 혹은 특별한 목적을 위해 설립된 단체.

'기초'는 실질적 또는 추상적 의미 모두에 사용. '재단'은 조직명에 주로 씀. '기본'과 혼동하지 마세요.
