物事の成長や発展を促すこと。また、自分の子ではない子どもを一時的に預かり育てること。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
『fostering』は「fostering innovation」「fostering relationships」などフォーマルに使われることが多いです。子どもや動物の場合、一時的な預かり（里親）であり、『adopting』のような恒久的なものではありません。
