Definition

自然の中で野生の食べ物（植物、果物、キノコ、ナッツなど）を探して集めること。買ったり栽培したりする代わりに行う。

スーパーで買い物したり農業をすることには使わず、動物や人が自然で食べ物を集める際に用います。'foraging for mushrooms' や 'foraging behavior' などの表現で使われます。
