Definition

脚注は、本や記事のページ下部に付けられる小さな注釈で、本文の内容について補足情報や説明、参考文献などを示します。

脚注は論文や学術書で出典や補足説明を書くときによく使われます。章や本の最後にまとめて載せるendnotesとは区別されます。通常、複数形で使われます。
