Definition

空中をあちこち動き回ること。特定の方向がない場合が多い。他にも、噂やアイデアが素早く広まることにも使う。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主にカジュアルな場面で使う。文字通り（鳥、虫）や比喩的（噂、アイデア）に使える。「rumors fly around」のような表現も多い。「fly by」「fly over」とは意味が違うので注意。
