표류 빙판유빙

Definition

극지방에서 볼 수 있는, 거대한 평평한 얼음 조각들이 물 위를 떠다님. 큰 얼음판에서 떨어져 나온 것들임.

주로 지리, 기후 과학 기사나 다큐에서 사용됨. 일상 대화에선 잘 쓰지 않으며 '유빙', '빙판' 등과 조합하여 쓴다.

The polar bears walk on the floes to hunt for food.

북극곰은 먹이를 찾으려고 **유빙** 위를 걷습니다.

In spring, the river is covered with floes.

봄이 되면 강이 **유빙**으로 뒤덮입니다.
