鳥や羊、時には人々が集まったり、一緒に動く集団を指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に鳥や羊の集団に使われますが、比喩的に人の集まりにも使われます。「herds」（牛など）や「packs」（オオカミなど）とは区別します。

Two flocks of sheep crossed the road this morning.

今朝、2つの羊の**群れ**が道路を渡りました。
