Definition
Firth, genellikle İskoçya'da bulunan ve denizin kara ile buluştuğu uzun, dar körfez tipidir. Büyük bir haliçe veya koy'a benzer.

'Firth' kelimesi genellikle İskoçya kıyılarına özgü yer adlarında kullanılır ('Firth of Forth' gibi). Genel haliçler için değil, sadece Britanya/İskoçya’ya özgü coğrafi terimdir.
