Contar uma mentira pequena e inofensiva, normalmente sobre algo sem importância ou para evitar problemas. "Fibbing" é o ato de contar uma "mentirinha".

'Fibbing' é informal, habitualmente usado para se referir a crianças ou situações leves, e descreve mentiras consideradas inofensivas. É mais suave que 'lying'. Usa-se com 'about': 'fibbing about my homework'. Raramente se usa formalmente.
