素早く巧みな足さばき。主にダンスやスポーツで使うが、困難な状況をうまく切り抜ける工夫という意味もある。

ダンスやスポーツの本来の意味と、問題解決をうまくやる比喩的な意味の両方でよく使われる。会話やメディアでよく見かけるが、フォーマルな場面にはあまり合わない。
