在困難或衝突中，沒有其他選擇時，把某事或某人作為後備或最後的選擇，也可以指後退。

常與 'on/upon' 搭配（如 'fall back on'）。口語用法。可用於表示依靠備用方案或撤退。不要和 'fall behind'（落後）混淆。
