Definition

物事を詳しく、背景や自分の意見も含めて説明すること。

“Expound”はフォーマルな場や学術的な発表、討論などで使う語です。「expound on ...」のように使われ、日常会話にはあまり適しません。カジュアルな時は「explain」を使うのが一般的です。
