Definition

एक बड़ा, खुला क्षेत्र या कोई बड़ा फैलाव, अक्सर ज़मीन, पानी या आसमान के लंबे चौड़े हिस्से का वर्णन करने के लिए उपयोग होता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

ज़्यादातर औपचारिक या साहित्यिक संदर्भों में इस्तेमाल होता है। आमतौर पर 'विस्तृत', 'असीम', 'फैला हुआ' जैसे शब्दों के साथ आता है ('महासागर का विशाल विस्तार'). छोटे क्षेत्रों के लिए नहीं कहा जाता। 'expansion' (वृद्धि) से न confund करें।
