Biasanya digunakan dalam konteks agama atau supranatural. Bisa juga dipakai secara kiasan, misal 'mengusir rasa takut'. Bentuk lampau dari 'exorcise' dan umum di tulisan formal atau narasi. Jangan bingung dengan 'exercise' (berolahraga).
