Dar algo e receber outra coisa em troca, como informações, objetos ou dinheiro. 'Exchanging' normalmente implica que ambos os lados participam da troca.

Normalmente usado com 'for' (exchanging gifts for birthdays) ou 'exchanging information.' Comum em contextos formais e informais. Não confundir com 'changing', que só significa alterar algo, sem troca.
