किसी चीज़ को बहुत ध्यान से देखना, जाँचना, जाँच-पड़ताल या विस्तार से अध्ययन करना। यह वस्तुओं, लोगों या जानकारी की कड़ी जाँच के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

'look at' या 'check' से ज़्यादा औपचारिक और गहरा शब्द। आमतौर पर शैक्षिक, चिकित्सा या कानूनी संदर्भों में प्रयोग जैसे 'examines evidence', 'examines a patient'। 'test' (परीक्षण) से अलग है।
