誰かや何かを罠や策略で捕まえること。意図的に不利な状況に追い込むときに使われることが多いです。

主に法律や犯罪の場面で使われ、日常会話ではあまり使いません。'trap'よりも意図的に陥れるニュアンスが強いです。
