ゲームやプロセスの最終段階、特にチェスで駒が少なくなる時期。また、一般的に何かの最後の局面を指す。

「エンドゲーム」はもともとチェス用語ですが、現在は計画、交渉、物語など最後の重要な局面にもよく使われます。フォーマルにもインフォーマルにも使われます。
