飛地とは、ある国や地域の中で他に囲まれながら、独自の文化や特徴を持って孤立している地域や集団のことです。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

地理や政治でよく使われます。'ethnic enclave'は都市内の特定民族の集団を意味することもあります。
