何かを完全に覆ったり包み込んだりして、保護したり周囲と分けたりすること。

主に技術的・説明的な文脈で使われ、完全に物を包む場合に使う。人や素早い動作にはあまり使われない。「ガラスでencaseする」「配線をencaseする」など。
