Definition
ऊँचाई किसी चीज़ की किसी निश्चित स्तर (अक्सर समुद्र तल) से ऊपर की ऊँचाई है। यह किसी वस्तु या व्यक्ति को ऊपर उठाने की क्रिया भी हो सकती है।

'Elevation' भूगोल, विज्ञान और चिकित्सा में बहुत आम शब्द है। भूगोल में यह समुद्र तल से ऊँचाई को दर्शाता है; 'altitude' हर बार समान नहीं होता।
