Passado de 'dunk': mergulhar rapidamente algo (como comida) em um líquido, ou marcar pontos colocando a bola diretamente na cesta no basquete.

Informal e comum ao falar de comida ('dunked the cookie') e esportes ('dunked the ball'). Não se usa para deixar de molho por muito tempo—nesse caso, use 'ensopado'.
