「drummed」はドラムを叩いたり、何かを繰り返し叩いてリズムを作ったりすることを意味します。指でテーブルをトントンする場合にも使います。

実際のドラム演奏にも、机などを指でリズムよく叩く場合にも使われます。「drummed up support」のような比喩的用法もあります。非公式な表現です。
