Definition

演劇は、芝居で演じたり舞台に立つ芸術のこと、または注目を集めるためにわざと大げさにふるまうことも指します。

「演劇」は公式な場（学校の演劇部など）にも、また人を批判するとき（日常的な大げさな態度）にも使います。「ドラマ」や「ドラマチック」とは混同しないように。

She joined the dramatics club at her school.
