物事を本来の形や真実から変えてしまうこと。事実や画像、音の見え方・聞こえ方を変える時に使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

事実や顔、声、画像などが本来と違う形にされる時に使います。「distorting the truth」や「distorting the facts」などと一緒によく使われます。「twisting」や「warping」よりフォーマルな表現です。
