薬や商品などを決まった量で人に渡すこと。特に薬局での調剤を指す場合が多いです。

医療や専門現場でよく使われます。'dispensing machine'は「自動販売機」、'dispensing pharmacy'は「処方薬局」。'dispense with'（省く）とは意味が違います。
