招待を取り消す

Definition

一度出した招待や招待状を後から取り消して、その人にもう来ないように伝えること。

フォーマルやセミフォーマルな場面（会議、イベントなど）でよく使われます。'Uninvite' も同じ意味ですが、'disinvite' はやや形式的。使う際は相手が気分を悪くしないよう注意が必要です。

We had to disinvite Tom from the birthday party.
