आमतौर पर औपचारिक या सेमिफॉर्मल बातचीत में किसी विषय पर असहमति दिखाने के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है। 'differ with' व्यक्ति के लिए और 'differ on' विषय के लिए सही है।
