किसी वृत्त या गोले के केंद्र से होकर गुजरने वाली सीधी रेखा की लंबाई, जो उसकी किनारों को जोड़ती है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

गणित, ज्यामिति, विज्ञान और इंजीनियरिंग में प्रचलित। अक्सर 'circle', 'sphere' या 'pipe' के साथ जुड़ा होता है। 'radius' (जो व्यास का आधा होता है) से न confund करें। 'inner', 'outer' या माप जैसे शब्दों के साथ भी आता है।
