أن يصبح أسوأ مع الوقت أو يضعف في الحالة أو الجودة أو القيمة.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

يستخدم بشكل رسمي، وغالباً لوصف تدهور الصحة، العلاقات، المباني أو الأحوال. شائع مع 'بسرعة' أو 'تدريجياً'. لا تخلطه مع 'destroy' (تدمير بالكامل). 'Deteriorate' فعل لازم: 'His health deteriorated.'
