Definition

歯医者は、歯や口の健康を診断し、治療し、ケアしてくれる医者です。虫歯や歯の痛み、定期的なクリーニングの際に通います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

数えられる名詞で「歯医者さん」や「歯医者に行く」と使います。「歯科医師」とも言うが、日常会話では「歯医者」が一般的。「矯正歯科医（orthodontist）」とは異なるので注意。
