Definition

जब किसी चीज़ का बर्फ या ठंडक गर्म करके हटा दी जाती है तो उसे डीफ्रॉस्ट किया हुआ कहते हैं। सबसे ज़्यादा खाने-पीने की चीज़ों या फ्रीज़र में प्रयोग होता है।

अक्सर खाने की चीज़ों ('डीफ्रॉस्ट की हुई चिकन') और फ्रीज़र में कहते हैं। इस शब्द से पता चलता है कि चीज़ अब जमी नहीं है। 'Thawed' शब्द प्राकृतिक रूप से गर्म होकर पिघलने के लिए ज़्यादा इस्तेमाल होता है।
