Definition

천문학에서 천체가 천구의 적도로부터 떨어진 각도를 의미합니다. 드물게 공식적이거나 정중하게 거절하는 뜻으로도 쓰입니다.

주로 과학, 특히 천문학에서 사용됩니다. 거절의 뜻으로는 매우 공식적이고 일상 대화에서는 거의 쓰이지 않습니다. ‘decline’(동사), ‘declension’(문법)과 혼동하지 않도록 주의하세요.
