Definition

কারও যদি একেবারে গভীর ঘুম হয় বা অচেতন থাকে, তখন তাকে কিছুতেই জাগানো যায় না।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

অনানুষ্ঠানিক কথা ও লেখায় বেশি ব্যবহৃত। 'was dead to the world', 'is dead to the world' ইত্যাদি রূপে আসে। আক্ষরিক অর্থে মৃত্যু বোঝায় না, শুধু গভীর ঘুম বা ক্লান্তি বোঝাতে ব্যবহার হয়।
