空にある黒や灰色の雲で、雨や嵐をもたらすことが多いです。比喩的に、悪いことや不安が迫っている状態も表します。

天気の話にも比喩的表現にも両方使います。「黒い雲が～に立ちこめる」で不安や悪い予感を表現できます。一般的に単数で使います。
