指按相同顺序重复发生的事件或过程。有时也可以指自行车。

“cycles”一般指周期性、重复发生的事物，如经济周期、自然周期。在英式英语中也可以指多辆自行车，但在美式英语中很少这样用。常见搭配：economic cycles（经济周期）、life cycles（生命周期）。不要与circles（圆形）混淆。
