Definition

क्रायर वह व्यक्ति होता है, विशेष रूप से पहले के समय में, जिसका काम सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर जाकर सबके लिए ज़ोर से ख़बरें, घोषणाएँ या सूचना सुनाना था।

'Crier' अंग्रेज़ी में अब दुर्लभ और ऐतिहासिक शब्द है, आम तौर पर 'town crier' के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है। इसका अर्थ रोने वाला व्यक्ति नहीं है। शब्द आमतौर पर ऐतिहासिक/साहित्यिक लिखाई में दिखता है।
