常用於描述嬰兒、昆蟲或人貼近地面緩慢移動。既可指真實行為，也可引伸為比喻（如‘队伍缓慢移动’）。帶有慢、困難的語感。不要和‘crept’混淆，後者偏向偷偷摸摸的移動。
