Definition

떡잎은 씨앗 속에서 처음으로 자라는 잎으로, 새싹이 자랄 때 영양분을 공급하는 역할을 합니다.

생물학과 식물학에서 주로 쓰이며, '단자엽식물(monocotyledon)'과 '쌍자엽식물(dicotyledon)'처럼 쓰입니다. 일상에서는 거의 사용되지 않습니다.
