数学で使われる関数で、直角三角形においてある角の隣の辺の長さと斜辺の長さの比を表します。主に三角法で使用されます。

「コサイン」は数学や理科の授業など公式な場面で使われます。「cos(θ)」や「コサイン関数」といった表現によく登場します。他の英単語の「co-sign」とは関係ありません。
