鳩などがやさしく鳴く、または人が赤ちゃんなどに穏やかで愛情こもった声で話しかけること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

通常は鳩や赤ちゃんに優しく話しかける場面で使い、大きな音や荒々しい声には使わない。例: 「the baby coos（赤ちゃんがくうくう言う）」など。
