Definition

物体や表面の外側の線や形を表します。特に地形や顔の線などに使われます。

複数形で使われることが多いです。「the contours of the land」や「facial contours」が典型的です。地理、アート、コスメ分野でよく使います。「outline」とは意味がやや異なります。

The artist drew the contours of the mountain.
