体や物などが不自然にねじれたり、曲がったりしている状態。特に動きや姿勢が普通ではない時に使います。

サーカスや体操選手など体の柔軟さを表すほか、物や顔の表情の異常なねじれにも使われます。比較的フォーマルで描写的な言葉です。
