किसी चीज़ को आगे बढ़ाते रहने या उसे जारी रखने की क्रिया; वह जो पहले से शुरू चीज़ का विस्तार हो।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

मुख्यतः औपचारिक या शैक्षिक संदर्भों में प्रयोग होता है, जैसे 'कहानी की निरंतरता'। अगर किसी वस्तु की लंबाई या भौतिक विस्तार हो, तो 'extension' ज्यादा सामान्य है। कभी-कभी अगली कड़ी या आगे की भाग का अर्थ भी होता है।
