Definition

何かを押し付けたり締め付けたりして、部分を細くしたり狭くしたりすること。筋肉や血管などによく使われます。

医学や科学分野でよく使われ、血管や筋肉が収縮する時などに用いられます。日常的な「締める」や「絞る」とは異なる、やや専門的な表現です。
