কোনও নির্দিষ্ট উদ্দেশ্যে লোক বা প্রাণীরা একসাথে আসে বা জমায়েত হয়।

'সমবেত হওয়া' সাধারণত আনুষ্ঠানিক বা নির্দিষ্ট উদ্দেশ্যে একত্রিত হওয়া বোঝায়, দৈনন্দিন বা হঠাৎ দেখা বা মিলিত হওয়ার মানে নয়।

অনেক পাখি সকালে লেকের কাছে **সমবেত হয়**।
