여러 부분이나 구성원으로 이루어지거나 그것들을 포함하고 있음을 의미한다.

주로 공식적이거나 글에서 사용된다. 수동형('comprised by')은 올바르지 않으니 피한다. 집단이나 목록을 설명할 때 쓰인다.

The committee comprises five members.
