Definition

複数の要素を組み合わせて何かを作ること。たとえば、音楽を作曲したり、文章やグループを作成すること。

主にフォーマルや創造的な場面 ('composes music', 'composes a letter') で使われます。また、'Water composes 60% of the body' のように構成の意味もあります。'compose oneself'（落ち着く）とは異なります。

She composes beautiful songs on the piano.
